Sphat: Anonymous Chat for Making New Friends
Sphat is an iPhone application developed by LONGWAVE STUDIO SRL, available for free in the Lifestyle category. The program allows users to engage in anonymous group chats with four strangers. These group conversations last for 5 minutes, with participants' identities kept completely anonymous. Users will see their own names in the chat, while others will only see a number.
During these chats, users can give positive or negative ratings to messages from the other participants. Each positive rating received earns the user a karma point, which can be used to react with a heart or a "surprised" emoji to messages from the other users. These karma points are accumulative for future Sphat interactions, but receiving a "surprised" reaction deducts a karma point. Sphat aims to help users connect with potential new friends virtually, fostering genuine and fulfilling interactions.
